Life in the Covenant

March 28, 2021 Speaker: Daniel Bare Series: Exodus

Topic: Sunday Morning Sermon Passage: Exodus 24:9–18

Having seen God's covenant with Israel confirmed in verses 1-8, today we tackle Exodus 24:9-18, asking the question "What does life in the covenant look like?" We examine several elements that attended life in the newly-confirmed covenant for the people of Israel -- seing God, communing with God, receiving God's instruction, waiting on God, and receiving a mediator to enter into God's glory. Not only is this descriptive of the covenantal experience of Israel at Sinai, however, but these same elements of God's blessing and provision likewise attend our lives as Christians in the new and greater covenant established by the blood of Jesus.
