The Tent and the Veil

May 16, 2021 Speaker: Daniel Bare Series: Exodus

Topic: Sunday Morning Sermon Passage: Exodus 26:1–37

Today's passage details the blueprints for constructing the tabernacle. This is a chapter that we might be tempted to simply skim, or perhaps even skip over entirely, as boring or irrelevant. However, as we examine it this morning we see how studying the elements and construction of the tabernacle tells us quite a lot about God, his presence with his people, and how we can come into relationship with him. Specifically as we study both the tent and the interior veil, we see that the tabernacle shows both a God who dwells with his people and a God who is veiled from his people -- a tension that is ultimately resolved in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
