Where the world seeks for riches and power and honor before men, Jesus tells his followers that they must give up the things that the world prizes and desires in order to lay hold of the even greater promises of the Kingdom of God. We see this "turn-about of the Kingdom" this morning in Jesus' instructions and parables from Luke 14:7-14.
