A Lament for Jerusalem

May 20, 2018 Speaker: Daniel Bare Series: Luke

Topic: Sunday Morning Sermon Passage: Luke 13:31–35

"Judgment" is not a popular topic in our day and age, yet it is a regular theme in the preaching and teaching of Jesus. In this morning's passage we see Jesus lamenting over Jerusalem's unbelief, displaying an attitude of remarkable compassion and patience toward those who refused to recognize the Messiah in their midst; yet even so, he paired this patient compassion with the frightful promise of coming judgment for all those who failed to repent and believe in his name.
