When Tragedies Come

April 15, 2018 Speaker: Joshua Loyd Series: Luke

Topic: Sunday Morning Sermon Passage: Luke 13:1–5

Few things in this life are more difficult and gut-wrenching than dealing with tragedies that involve the loss of human life. In this morning's text, Jesus was confronted with just such a tragic situation. As we open up the Scripture and examine Jesus' response, Pastor Joshua explains how Christ used the news of this tragedy as a reminder to those around him that life is short and uncertain, and that they must repent and believe the gospel while there is still time. Understanding the fragility and uncertainty of this mortal life ought to motivate Christians to regularly preach the gospel and pray for those around us to repent and believe.
