In the beginning of chapter six, Luke puts together two stories of the Pharisees accusing Jesus of breaking the Sabbath. In reality, however, the Pharisees had added their own man-made laws to the laws of God. This prompts Pastor Shawn to ask: Whose laws are you following? Do you understand God's mercy and grace? Those who have truly experienced the grace and mercy of God will keep the commands of God not out of a desire to impress other people, but rather out of the inward deisres of a heart that has been changed by Christ.
