Who Is Your Savior?

October 9, 2016 Speaker: Joshua Loyd Series: Luke

Topic: Sunday Morning Sermon Passage: Luke 2:1–21

In political election seasons, many are wont to set their hope upon the election of a particular candidate or the ascendancy of a particular political party.  Yet in Luke 2, the birth narrative of Jesus, we observe God's eternally meaningful and hopeful intervention in our world taking place far from the halls of power.  Pastor Joshua reminds us that we must not look for salvation in the ephemeral hope of political power, but we ought instead to look for God's work in the humble things -- most notably, in the humility demonstrated in the incarnation of Jesus Christ, who entered into his own creation for the purpose of saving sinners.
