According to the Scriptures

In our day and age many people, even professing Christians, sometimes wonder: Is the whole Bible trustworthy?  Can't we accept portions of the Bible without accepting everything?  

In Luke 1:5-38 we see that the divine promises delivered to Zechariah and Mary repeatedly point back to God's written revelation as entirely true and trustworthy.  Just as the early gospel proclamation of the Apostles sounded the refrain "according to the Scriptures," so here also God's word is shown to be a single unified whole -- wholly demanding our faithful obedience and cumulatively pointing toward the salvation accomplished by the God-Man, Jesus Christ.
